April 8, 2011 - According to Malcolm Maclachlan at Capitol Weekly, California State Sen. Lou Correa has added an amendment favorable to the Morongo Band of Mission Indians to his bill to legalize online poker in California (SB 40).
Amongst lawmakers serving in the 2009-2010 and 2011-2012 sessions, Sen. Correa has received more in contributions since Jan. 2003 ($11,500) from the Morongo Band of Mission Indians than any other state senator, according to contribution analysis conducted by MAPLight.org on data provided by the National Institute on Money in State Politics. Correa was first elected in 2006.
