Accident and Insurance Industry Able to Slow Support on Bill to Regulate Health Insurance Rate Increase

June 3, 2011 - Yesterday the California Assembly passed AB 52, which would regulate increases in health insurance rates. The bill passed 45-28, with seven lawmakers not voting. No Republicans voted in favor of passage, and Richard Pan was the lone Democrat who voted against passage.
