Owen Poindexter | September 24, 2010

AB 1600, which has passed both houses and awaits action by the governor, would require the diagnosis and care of mental illnesses to be covered by certain insurance policies. Based on an August 26, 2010 vote in the Assembly, state and local government employee unions, a group that supported the measure, gave an average of $31,539 to lawmakers who voted in favor of passage, and only $993 on average to those voting against.

Includes reported contributions to campaigns of Assemblymembers voting 'Yes' or 'No' in office on day of vote, from State & local government employee unions interest groups, July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2010.
