On Tuesday the U.S. Senate Finance Committee released a report on an investigation into safety issues surrounding Avandia, a diabetes drug developed by GlaxoSmithKline. MAPLight.org reported that the drug manufacturer has given $3,388,975 to lawmakers at the federal level since 2002.
