AB 2079 would require schools that offer athletic scholarships or that provide promotional material to student athletes to post their policies around athletic scholarships, renewal, release and medical expenses.
Based on an August 26, 2010 passage vote in the Assembly, supporting interest gave 14 times more to assembly members voting 'yes' than to those voting 'no.' The bill has passed both houses and awaits action by the governor.
