Dec. 7, 2010 -- California State Senate President Pro-Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) has appointed Sen. Curren Price, Jr. (D-Los Angeles) as chairman of the Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee, according to an article in the Los Angeles Times. Last session, the committee was led by Democrat Gloria Negrete McLeod (D-Chino), who represents district 32.
Sen. Price represents California's 26th Senate District. Price previously served in the California Assembly, representing the 51st district, which includes Inglewood, where Price served two terms on the city council.
