Oct. 18, 2010 - The latest campaign finance filings from the California Secretary of State website shows an additional $1.9 million raised by supporters of Prop. 26, including $1.2 million from the American Beverage Association (bringing the total contributions from that organization to $1.95 million). The American Beverage Association is the trade association representing companies that manufacture and distribute non-alcoholic beverages in the United States. Contributions from groups opposing Prop. 26 have reached almost $2.8 million, while total contributions from Prop.

Oct. 15, 2010 - According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, the FDA is admitting to making an error in approving a surgical knee implant called the Menaflex Collagen Scaffold. made by Hackensack, N.J.-based ReGen Biologics Inc. Oct. 15, 2010 - The opposition to Prop. 26 raised almost $1 million on Wednesday, including $586,739 from the Democratic State Central Committee of California and $250,000 from the California Teachers Association, bringing total contributions to more than $2.7 million. Oct. 14, 2010 - An additional Texas-based oil company has thrown its financial hat in the ring in support of Prop. 23. CVR Energy Inc. gave $150,000 on Thursday to help defend the ballot measure designed to stall California climate change legislation AB 32. The top contributor in opposition, Thomas Steyer, contributed an additional $49,000 yesterday, bringing his total to $5,049,000. A venture capitalist, Vinod Khosla, contributed over $1 million yesterday to oppose Prop. 23.
Chevron Boosts Support For Prop. 26 Grows by Almost $2 Million

Oct. 14, 2010 - Chevron gave $1.25 million in support of Prop. 26 on Wednesday, the largest single contribution to date, bringing their total to $2.5 million. Prop. 26 would raise the vote threshold necessary in the California state legislature to pass certain state and local fees.
