Republican members of the House of Representatives designated to lead committees in the 112th Congress have begun to select which of their fellow lawmakers will serve as subcommittee chairmen. Below is a list of committees that have announced appointments. Due to the shooting in Tucson on Jan. 8, 2011, Congress has postponed official business to honor the victims, and therefore not all committees have had the opportunity to hold organizational meetings to determine subcommittee jurisdiction and seat assignments.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) will replace Howard Berman (D-Calif.) as chairman of the House Foreign Affiars Committee in the 112th Congress.

Rep. David Camp will replace Michigan Democrat Sander Levin as chair of the House Committee on Ways and Means.
